Casement is a studio of sixteen designers, makers and project leads working from a 1906 furniture showroom on Monroe Avenue, Grand Rapids.

Maren spent nine years building stage sets, where every object exists for the people using it. Teodor grew up in his family’s workshop, sweeping shavings.

We design around routines, not trends. A room should fit the way you move before it fits a mood board.

Flat fees and trade prices, with every receipt shared. You should never wonder what a chair really cost.
Made to be kept
Solid wood, repairable finishes and joinery that lasts. We would rather build it once than twice.
Four miles away, the workshop
Six makers build every cabinet, shelf and table we draw, using Michigan white oak, black walnut and ash from mills within a day’s drive.
